Hi
Putting in a new kitchen in Cork city area. I have had Woodlands Kitchens and Express kitchens recommended to me. Has anyone any experience of working with them?

sorry, just checking Kal if you've a vested interest in directing someone away from woodlands?

You've only posted twice in 4 months, and it was to advertise a kitchen company first time and advise against one this time.

A little off topic but you might find this of interest.

I called to Express Kitchens and Woodlands a few months back when I started looking for a kitchen for my new build. I wasn't impressed with the quality from Express Kitchens, and Woodlands did not have what I had in mind (but were very helpful and pleasant to deal with).

Having visited practically all kitchen showrooms in Cork, I went with Premier Design (up by the airport). I chose a modern German kitchen (which is imported and cost me half the price of a Schmidt) and my sister-in-law, who is also building, chose a contemporary walnut style (which Premier Design will make themselves). Our kitchen has arrived but has not been installed yet, as we are running a little behind schedule. So far, I have been very pleased with the level of service, communication and value for money provided.

Just wondering if you think its realistic of me to think i could get a kitchen for under 10k ? thought you might be knowledgeable about prices by now after having visited all show rooms... would love to be able to do that myself!
 
We are currently putting in a Kitchen in our new build but have included a larder to store small items ie Tins of food / non perishable items which can be easily accessible

The larder actually cuts down on the no of presses required in the Kitchen and therefore cuts down on the prices quoted for a new Kitchen installation. We don't require many wall presses and the kitchen seems more open plan rather than having a Kitchen with ceiling to floor presses.

The size of your Kitchen will greatly influence the final price of ur Kitchen. Got a price of 11K for our Kitchen including a breakfast bar and Corean worktop.

I thought that kitchen prices would be dropping in the current market. I would have thought that Kitchen companies would not be as busy now. 11k sound pretty good for a Kitchen including Corian worktop. I would not agree with the post above saying that a larder press cuts down on kitchen presses and therefore drops the price. I would have thought that getting the presses that are needed to fill the available space without going overboard would be the right way to go. Your Kitchen is the most important room in the house and in my opinion I would not cut corners.
I moved into my house 18months ago, I went a little over budget on my Kitchen but am so glad I did now.
