New fee-based estate agency

I saw an ad recently for a new estate agency charging a flat fee of two grand for selling homes. But I can't find a reference to it in any media archives. Surely such a ground breaking development should have picked up more publicity? Anyone heard of it?

Thanks. I think it was another one. But this one is even cheaper. A lot of professions get away with murder by charging commission on something as pricey as a property. It's about time someone challenged that by charging a flat fee instead. This lot charges €999 which is extremely low compared to the many thousands charged by agents.

They do flat fees for properties - it varies according to the value.

It is no flat, then?

There website contains false advertising IMO.

movehome.ie said:
At movehome.ie we sell ALL homes from ONLY €999+VAT
But at the bottom of the page, it state that this is only if property is less than €299k.. and their fee is €3999+VAT for property > €750k...Cheaper though..

The list/table has a 4 columns:
1- Property Value
2- MoveHome EA Fee (e.g. from 999 to 3999 + vat)
3- For other EA (e.g. 1% + vat)
4- Savings.

It is therefore my understanding that MoveHome fee is variable from €999+vat up..

Good point, I didn't notice that.

However, in the second line: "At movehome.ie we sell ALL homes from ONLY €999+VAT."

The key word here is 'from'. So not false advertising, just marketing BS.

Good point, i didn't notice that either (reference to the "from only €999+vat").
I take it back... it is NOT false advertising...
