Is it possible to have more than one estate agent selling your property at the same time ? anything to watch out for ?

When they get wind ( and they will! )they are not likely to put as much energy into a sale knowing they are on 1:2 1:3 etc chance of getting paid!

its funny the way the market here works completely different to the uk

Most will still recoup the cost of advertising-they will waive their own fee.

I understand that at least some estate agents charge higher % fees when they are not sole agent.

I've seen a couple of houses in Dublin that now have two for-sale signs - different estate agents - in their garden.

Struck me as so unusual that I took a photo of one of them !

These houses have been on the market for a long time and are obviously having difficulty finding buyers.

Then again perhaps they've "fired" the first estate agent and they haven't taken down the original sign yet.
