Moving to UK for two years and Tax Status re PPR & Lodger (in my flat)

A lot of definitive-sounding but frankly iffy advice above. @johnfenit you need legal advice on what steps if any you should take to preserve the current licensee arrangement you have with your lodger in relation to your move abroad. You can the research the tax implications once you have established its status going forward.
 
Of course some are. And we hear about it on this forum. Many arent. We dont hear so much from them. Dont believe the hype and try and keep an open mind.

Alternatively, believe the hype and plan accordingly!

Because one thing is guaranteed: if you end up with a problem due to a licencee/tenant overholding, Arthur McB won't be able to help you to resolve it.
