I have been working in funds for the past couple of years and have recently moved to a team leader position. I am finding some elements of the job very stressful and I think it is now time to change as I dont think I can cope much longer. My question is that if I move to another area such as lending, underwriting or sales administration will I have to back to a graduate level salary or would my experience count in another area (I have also worked in cash reconciliation and sales support before) and how hard is it to move between areas. I am not sure what area I wish to move to but I think for my own health I need to change, the main thing I am worried about is the money but I would be prepared to take a cut for a better work life balance. Thanks for any advice.

You should look into doing the ACCA exams or some form of professional qualification which will provide your CV with something which will attract you to other roles in FS.
