Moving from UK to Galway

Where in Galway is good to buy a house for a family (3 kids under 10yrs) with good schools? Was thinking possibly around/ in Oranmore/ Athenry as partner is a Software Developer & could look for work in that area. Ideally looking for a detached house with at least 4 bedrooms.
 
I think most areas in Galway are very good for raising a family.
Your problem will be finding a house to buy, the market is very tight. I live in knocknacarra [4 kids] which is ideal for kids as there are loads of schools within walking distance, and a lot of sports club nearby. If you can afford it try to live somewhere central, otherwise you will be in the car with kids going to all their activities every evening.
