Moving Direct Debits and Inward Payments from Ulster Bank to new bank.

Both myself and my wife are in receipt of a state pension. This is paid in to our current account with the Ulster Bank. As this bank has announced that it is closing we have opened a new current account in the AIB. To start with we will begin the process of moving our inward payments and direct debits from Ulster Bank to the AIB.

Does anyone know if we can change our bank account details online in respect of our state pension or must we make a phone call to do this?

Anyone tried this recently?

If you have a MyGovID you should be able to update your payment method on the mywelfare website.
