Hi,
Myself & my wife have had approval in principal in place for the past years. However I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and am coming to the end of my treatment (thankfully successful) around mid November.
I’ve looked into life assurance & Irish life have told me there’ll be a 1 year waiting period.
I approached the bank (EBS) and they told me they would only lend based on my wife’s income which won’t meet our needs, although this is being checked again.
I’m a self employed IT consultant with no other life or income protection policies.
Would anyone have any suggestions on the best way to go about getting mortgage approval based on both incomes under these circumstances?
Thanks
