You're probably wasting your time shopping around each year for mortgage protection as so long as you do your homework when you take it out you should be ok for at least a couple of years. Of course if you re-mortgage at any time it's a good idea to shop around again. Or if after a few years you feel that you are being ripped off, shop around. But every year? It seems like a lot of hassle to me. More forms to fill in more direct debits to change possible more doctor's reports.
