Mortgage protection + Insurance

Hello All,

We are a married couple in early 30's and getting a new home in the range of 260,000€.

Got quote from Irish life for mortgage protection €18 a month. Home + content insurance quote is €24 a month (excess of €300). Our bank said we can shop elsewhere too if not happy with these quotes.

I am unable to get an online quote as our new home address is not on the database yet and 3 websites have given address error message.

My question is, are the above quotes reasonable?

I'd recommend ringing a couple of insurance brokers tomorrow and seeing what they can do about it.

They seem reasonable enough - you might be able to get cheaper but they don't seem OTT.
