mortgage approval after maternity leave

Just wondering how banks look on approving mortgage for those only returning to work after maternity leave? I am just back to work 6 weeks after 6 months unpaid and a house has come up that we are really interested in. I am in a permanent job however... just wondering how this will affect things?
