Mortgage after debt settlement

Hello, my wife completed a mortgage debt settlement with a vulture fund in February 2021. At the time there had been 35 payments past due. Following the settlement this figure reverted to zero. This is shown on the credit report (CCR). The report doesn't indicate arrears or legal proceedings or anything like that. This debt is from a previous relationship. We would like to know when we could go for a joint mortgage. Do lenders review the CCR when they review a mortgage application? Would the column showing payments past due have to be completely zero before applying for a mortgage (5 years) with the normal lenders (banks)?
