Mortage protection and medical history

Hi there,

I am buying a house and went to a broker for mortg. protection. He could not give a quote for me, only that I will have a medical. I have a medical history (tumour growth years ago)

Would anyone know what the approx. amount would be?
 
Did you shop around for mortgage protection life assurance? Chances are all providers will require you to do a medical but you never know.
 
Your broker should initially recommend the cheapest provider but no one can give you an exact premium until your proposal has been medically underwritten which will probably require reports from your GP, your consultant(s) and a medical examination. If you are loaded by one company you can shop around to see if another insurer will offer better rates.
