Moped Starting Problem

Hi,

Hoping someone can help. Situation as follows:

Have a Piaggio NRG moped. Tried to start the other day but the electricstarter would not start the bike. Am able to kick start the bike but have noticed that the lights are now begining to fade when in use. The indicators are operating very faintly. I don't believe that the batery is dead or nearly dead.

Does anyone have any posible solutions to this. If by fixing the electric starter would the light issue be resolved. Any comments welcomed.

Start bike and turn light switch on. If light gets brighter when you rev, alternator is probably okay.

Bad battery and/or battery connections.

This would also possibly cause the electric start problems.
