I am looking for some advise. We had new tenants move into our apt on the 16th Sep 2009. We gave them the month to month periodic lease supplied by IrishLandlord.com. They paid half a months rent in sep and then a full months rent starting in oct 09 etc. Everything was fine until Jan 15th 2010. We got a phone call to say they are moving out on the 16th Feb 2010. Basically we were told this was our 28 days notice. Basically my question is when does this notice period have to be given? It is not at the start of the month? Can they only pay half a months rent in Feb and get their deposit back?
