When we turn our shower off the water will still run for approx 40 seconds. The temperature of the water will go to boiling and then to freezing before it stops running. Any ideas about what is causing this and better still any ideas about how to rectify the problem. many thanks
 
Could be gunk in caught in the water inlet filter.

To Check.

1) Switch off power and Water (and drain if tank fed)
2) take off shower cover
3) remove nut on in-let knucke
4) take out filter and clean
5) put everything back properly and try again
 
Hello again, I know its a year since I posted this original query. I have tried to clean the filter as advised but it did not remedy the problem. I suppose I put it on the long finger. Had a shower at 5pm today and the water is still flowing out of the showerhead. Has anyone any idea what else I could try before I start thinking about replacing the unit as its starting to drive me around the bend. thanks
 
Thinking about that but first I want to see if its something that I can sort before I start forking out money.
