Million Investment

Hi . I am new to the forum and know little or nothing about investments as I never had much to invest up to now. However, my wife and I are selling our property and expect to clear about 1,000,000.
Instead of buying another property we are playing around with the idea of renting and investing this fund. We would be looking for a regular income and the potential of growth. We arenot keen on property investment at the moment. For the sum we have to play with, are there any products that would guarantee an inc9ome in excess of say 6% as well as at least guaranteeing our capital. Would be grateful for suggestions -- SAMKELLY.
