This is uncanny, rec.d message again today after posting above. Someone watching my phone. ?..last one December

It just goes to show that ComRegs SMS Sender ID registry does not work.

The Foley's text is from a number. The text "AIB" is in the message rather than the text ID

Probably impossible to prevent texts like this.

How this one works is it creates a list of numbers that are more likely to respond to scam texts and thus easier to scam.

Here is another AIB scam text from today, which somehow bypassed ComReg's fraud system:

 

[I'm Nobody]

I saw on the internet someone got a scam call with the question,
did you order two apple iPhones from Kurdistan on your credit card?
He answered he did, end of phone call.
It helped that they didn't have a credit card.
