med 1 form/orthotic

My elderly aunt has recently needed orthotic's from her podiatrist to help with her gait. They are expensive and she has heard that you can claim on the med 1 form. I cannot find any information regarding this.

Yes you can claim it no problem.

There is a line on the Med 1 form for claiming for nursing appliances.
 
This may be stating the obvious, but the tax relief is only of use to your aunt if she has taxable income.
