How do you find it? What is the quality of the lectures, course materials, lecturers etc like?

Hi I know of a few people who this, and it is highly recommended. PLan to do it myself in a couple of years (studying other things at the moment).
 
Was it in Athlone that your friends completed the MBA?

I'm trying to get an idea on the quality of the programme in Athlone Institute of Technology specifically.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Sorry, yes it was AIT. It seems to have a pretty good reputation for this course. I know of 4-5 people who have done it and recommend it. I've never heard anything negative about the course. Hope this helps!
