MX-5 is a great car. The only people that you hear complain about it being a girly car are those who are one of the following;
1) Not interested in good handling motors.
2) Those who have not driven one.
3) Badge snob types who would be happier with a base model A4/316i etc rather than a good car.
4) Agricultural types who reckon a car cannot be good without a diesel engine and a hitch.
