Mazda 6 wheel tracking & alignment

Can anyone tell where is the best place to get 4 wheel tracking and alignment on a mazda 6. I asked the garage I bought the car from and the mechanic said they always send the cars to advance tyres as they have the proper equipment for the job. I have also heard of someone that went to advance and were not happy with the result.

General consensus seems to be avoid those chain/multiple outlet type places, and find some one who specialises in this.

Not sure where you are based, but I used Phoenix Tyres beside Croke Park recently and found them good and reasonable - 45 euro for 4 wheel laser alignment.

Dave MCann near Blanchardstown also gets good reviews for this.

No affiliation with either of these by the way.

Why does a Mazda 6 need 4 wheel alignment? Rear wheel drive cars need this more often. I have a BMW which is RWD and needs it from time to time and BTW the mechanic at the garage is right about Advance or the big chains. They have laser based tracking devices. Get it bang on every time. Used Fast Fit the last time.

I own a 07 mazda 6 from new and had a 05 6 before that they both have the same problem excessive wearing of passenger side rear tyre. My local mechanic said like you that they don't need 4 wheel alignment. So I suppose that if they wear the left rear tyre like that from new it is better to put up with it rather than have someone tampering with it and probably making the problem worse.
