Just found out the wife is pregnant just want to know if she was to loose her job before she was due to go on maternity leave would she still be entitled to state maternity pay??
She would be entitled to maternity benefit as long as she was more than 24 weeks pregnant when she lost her job, but I think she would have to apply for it immediately & then sign on for jobseekers allowance once her 26 paid weeks are up.
