Maintenance of felt roof

I have a flat roof over part of my house which is made of torch-on felt. It am told it meeds to be painted with aluminium paint every few years and I intend to do so in the next month.

Is there any other treatment that would be advisable, to prolong the life of the roof. Thanks for any advice.

Wouldn't really make sense to paint with that prior to an aluminium coating, especially at nearly €15 per sqm.

In terms or maintenance in advance of applying the alu coating, make sure the felt is in good condition throughout with no loose or torn areas, clean well and allow to dry.
