I probably brought this on myself by not asking enough questions but its hard to think of everything.
Before Christmas I negotiated and had a bid accepted on an appartment. I have since paid 10% and exchanged contracts and things are moving along. I got a letter this week from my solicitor stating that the sellors want a partial refund on maintenance fees form the closing date until the next payment date. I can understand that they would want this but my annoyance is that it was never mentioned at any point in the sale. When I confronted the estate agent he said it was nothing to do with him.
My gut instinct is that I am stuck with it but if anyone thinks otherwise please let me know.
To others who are thinking of purchasing a second hand appartment you should include this on you check list. Had I known in time I could have used it in the negotiation process but now its too late.
