What they should do is out an overfly on the M50 roundabout and some sort of short underground tunnel under the Palmerstown cross and Newcastle cross, traffic would flow straight out from Chapelizod bybass to N4\M4 non stop. But that would be too advanced for Ireland!

As part of the M50 upgrade scheme, 3 interchanges (N1, N4 & N7) will also be upgraded. I thin the plan is to build an overfly at N4/M50 exchange, i do not know about the other 2. There was a model exposed in Liffey Valley shopping centre at some stage.
