Hi there,
Sorry if this has been asked before, I had a quick look and could not see anything specific.
I am just wondering if anyone here might have some experience or insight.
Parent has applied via their solicitor for an LPT Property ID for a derelict house they own. The ID is required for some other matters that have arisen but the problem is that there seems to be a crazy delay on this. All the information including photographs etc were given to solicitor back in November. This is to have the property registered as derelict and I should add, this would be a first time registration for the property in any respect.
I was actually going to do the application myself on parents behalf but was advised by solicitor that it was quicker for them to do it! So heard nothing and got back in touch with them mid February and they said they would contact Revenue. And now we are mid May and still nothing. The solicitor has told us that they have contacted Revenue but I am not so sure. I had a look at parents mygov page but could see nothing referencing any queries about LPT.
Just wondering if it would be worth while getting parent to contact Revenue (they are quite elderly so these calls are not always easy) or does this seem like a reasonable 'delay'? Its holding things up significantly but not sure how best to proceed. Any insight would be appreciated. TIA
