looking for info on living with my girlfriend

Hello,
i am looking for information regarding what i do if i am lving with my girlfriend. she is getting one parent family allowance, i am the childs father and i want to live with her. i am currently a student and do not know if we are allowed to do this or will we get in trouble. any help would be appriciated.

It's straightforward - if you move in with your girlfriend and child, then she will no longer be considered to be a one-parent family, and will not be able to claim that allowance. It might be an idea to talk to someone in your Social Welfare Local Office to see if either of you would qualify for other payments.

hi, yeah she is getting back to education allowance , which i am told is different. i do remember asking years ago what the story was if i was staying there and was told by someone in the HSE rent dept. that a slong as i didnt have a major income, above 150 euro a week, it would not interfere with the trent allowance case. i rang citizens info and they said that if she is getting the back to education allowance then i can stay there. i am not sure now what to do.
