Were presently building a house. Well were actually living in it and finishing as we go to save on rent.
there's a balcony in the house and I bought stainless steel and got a man to weld it so we can have timber handrail and glass between the stainless uprights.
I'm having trouble sourcing 2inche round white oak handrail. Well at this stage any kind of timber would nearly do.
If any of you have any idea where I'd get this I appreciate your info.
Thanks in advance.

You could prob get one made at a joinery, ring around and ask or they can point u in the right direction at least

Cheers Bob,
I'm in the process of that but not having much luck. either they don't want the hassle or they can't get exactely the right size

Re: Looking for 2 inche round handrail

Your best bet would be Dunnes Workshop in Kilbeggan 044 9223188, got round handrail there a few years ago for a client, cannot remember the dimensions that we required at the time but there was no problem in having it made.

No connection, just a customer who buys stairs components from them on a regular basis.

If it's a case of any wood will do, B&Q stock a Richard Burbidge round handrail. Burbidge do white oak, but I'm not sure if B&Q stock that.

Thanks nhg
Rang Dunnes. There to ring me back with a price. There the first company I rang that were even interested and could actually do the piece's for me.

Leo,
Looked at B & Q website and I'd say my best bet is Dunnes as mentioned by nhg, as they machine them to fit.

As I was writing this Dunnes rang me back with a price. Machined exactly the way I want them, and a good price at that so I guess I'm heading to Kilbeggan.

Thanks again everyone as I'm the last week or so ringing people and companies with no luck
