location of gas boiler?

Hi,
Does anyone know if it is possible to relocate a gas boiler externally ie on outside wall of house? If so does it have to be a specific type of boiler or could I move my existing boiler outside with some sort of special housing around it?

Sorry to say that most if not all domestic gas boilers are designed for indoor installation unlike some oil boilers
You would need to build a boiler house that was completley weatherproof and install a frost stat to protect the boiler from freezing but even still you will most likely reduce significantly the working life of the appliance

I tend to agree with DGOBS,

It's the 5th boiler down. If one crowd make them you can besure that others are.

they are very uncommon though.
