loan approval- Guarantor on the balance of hse

If your loan approved for a certain amount would it be possible to get a parent or relative to go guarantor for €10K or 15K more..

And once the 10-15K was paid off, could the guarantor be removed?

Or would they have to go guarantor for the whole hse loan...
