Is there a list available of annual competitions available which new small businesses can enter, such as the following;

* InterTradeIreland - ALL ISLAND SEEDCORN COMPETITION 2006
* Golden Spiders Awards
* Ernst & Young Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year

Just some others that I came across to add to that list include;

and also the Ulster Bank Invoice Finance/ Irish Independent Business Achievers Award... think that's awarded monthly??
 
Hi, just did a search for small business competitions and saw this. Does anybody have personal experience of these competions - in a few of the ones I have seen it seems more of a revenue generator than an award ceremony - costing over €100 per head to attend. Are these awards worth the exposure?
