Light Bulb blown - glass bulb broken from holder

Hi, I hope someone can help - loud bang the other day as light bulb blew, but when I went to change it, the glass bulb part is completely removed from the 'screw in bit', apologies, don't know the correct term, but hanging on by a piece of wire.

I need to replace the bulb - am typing this in the dark! Any advice as to how I might approach this safely much appreciated,

Turn off trip switch - to make sure you have no power going to light fitting.

Small pointed pliers to grab and twist remaining piece of light bulb.

By being careful you'll get it out.

BUT ... make sure there is no power going to the light first!!

If in doubt get someone to do it for you.
