Firstly, sorry if this is the wrong forum but I really wasn't sure ....
The owner has a single story, large commercial premises, built in the 70s (in three stages throughout the decade), which he is currently using himself. The roof is corrugated asbestos sheeting but I have no further details than this. He is hoping to lease out the premises but is worried that the roof might cause problems.
Is there any issue with leasing out such a building or does the asbestos need to be removed (not really a runner)? If it can be leased as is, what are the steps that need to be taken to protect both tenant and landlord?
