lease termination will payment in advance be refunded?

A friend is renting a property @ 400pm payment in advance each nonth with a 400 euro deposit as well upfront

Lease says termination is 7 days notice in writing to the other party provided that a minimum of 4 weeds has elapsed.

If they terminate mid month giving 7 days notice will they get back 400 deposit + 200 for half a month or just the 400 deposit

I would imagine that they would have to give a months notice, but personally I would only charge the tenant for half the month if they were leaving mid-month

I'm assuming that the lease means that the tenancy has had to have been for a minimum of 4 weeks and then it can be terminated with 7 days notice. If it's unclear clarify with the landlord.
