OK I messed up! Boarded the LUAS yesterday evening in the IFSC and got off at Fatima forgetting to tag off. Was getting lift home from City Centre about an hour later and stopped at Kilmainham to tag off and get out of the system. BUT when I presented my LEAP card to the machine at Kilmainham it tagged me on again! My mistake has now cost me two maximum length journeys. I'm sure theres a policy document somewhere, however, does anyone know how to retrospectively tag off.
 
Once you tag on, the maximum journey time of 90 mins starts. At the end of it, if you haven't tagged off, the system will do it automatically.

This stops you staying tagged in and your tagging becoming out of sequence.
There is no way to retrospectively tag off.
 
Thanks Berni, I guess the costs of my ignorance will teach me to be more careful in future :)
 
Hi Bonaparte - been there done that!

Did you know you can contact Leap and they will refund you if you forget to tag off? details on http://www.leapcard.ie. Ideally, if you have a registered card, you can do this online, but I've rang them in the past & they were very helpful.
 
I emailed them the last time that I forgot to tag off and was declined.
I couldn't find anything about it on the link supplied.
