Hi guys,

I am considering investing in an appartment in the south of Spain and wanted to check on whether it would be preferable to get a ground floor or first floor appartment. I have a vague recollection of seeing a post here a while back which mentioned that a first floor appartment would be preferable (perhaps for security reasons?).

Also I was wondering how important air conditioning is in an appartment in Spain when trying to rent?

Cheers,
Ruairi

if you can get villa with private pool better rental potential as appts much harder to let
security is an issue,.....cameras etc vital

Okay thanks markowitzman. Have been looking at villa's also but they are a much higher initial capital outlay.

If I do go ahead with an appartment would you recommend ground floor or first floor?

Also I did notice from another post that you have a villa yourself. How did you go about researching rental potential before you purchased (primary & secondary sources)?

Cheers,
Ruairi
