Laya Laya query please

Two adults on Laya Simplicity plan. Renewal notice just in. Living in Kerry, No health problems to date. One claim last year for Cataract surgery -(Bons S ) As just reached 55yrs, I am worried that cover not enough and considering 'going up' from this plan - maybe?. Need comprehensive cover for private hospitals . Is this necessary or does Simplicity give as much cover as I need. Not worried about private room just don't want to be limited in choice of hospital. I just don't want to have any exclusions should the worst happen. Small excess is fine.

Secondly have 1 child and 1 young adult 22yrs who we left on VHI last year as was more cost effective than Laya. Would you think that this is still wise? (One plan)

Simplicity plan is a very good all round plan that ticks all the boxes regarding hospital cover. This plan will provide all the cover you need
regarding private hospital cover, including full cover for a private room. I am on this plan myself as it happens.

The best value for a child at the moment is VHI One + Plan, price 148 per child.
Likewise VHI is also best value for young adults, Plan PMI 40 15, price 625pa.
