Hi health insurance gurus!
I'm 40-something, a few underlying health issues that dont cause major issues currently. I visit my doctor maybe 3/4 times a year and 2 visits to my dentist. I claimed about 300 this year for GP/Dentist and Eyetest. Should I be looking at something other than Laya Precision 150 Create at €1329.29 renewal on 1st June?

Edit: Laya Transform Plus at 1290 looks better value

Hi JohnJay.

Laya's Precision 150 Create is renewing at €1329 if paid monthly or €1290 if paid upfront. Laya's Transform Plus is renewing at the exact same price.

The main difference between these two policies is that Precision 150 Create fully covers normal orthopaedic surgery. No excess applies to 5 orthopaedic procedures (hip and knee replacement) in 12 private hospitals. There is a 20% shortfall for these procedures under the Transform Plus plan. If orthopaedics are an issue for you I suggest you give it some thought before you move from a plan that fully covers these five procedures.

If orthopaedics are not an issue for you then I would give Laya's Inspire plan, renewing at €1256 if paying monthly or €1220 if paying up front, some serious consideration. This corporate plan is currently one of the better plans on the market.

I hope this helpful
