Late registration RTB

Hi I have just 1 property . I had previously registered my tenant and was fully complaint with RTB. Then in 2023 that tenant left. The property was empty for 2 months and in Sept 2023 I got a new tenant. At that time I was having family difficulties which totally overwhelmed me, and unfortunately I let things slide. I did not register my tenant and I am now looking to sort out this mess as I’m in a better place.
Can anyone offer advice on how to proceed with this.
I still have the same tenant. Would I have any chance of getting a reduction or staged payments. Has anyone experienced this?
To be quite honest I would sell this property as we are getting older only my daughter lives abroad with small children and hopes to move back to Ireland at some stage. Also our current tenant is so good . It has been no trouble. I have done a calculation and I think I owe €600 approx .
So if anyone had advice on how to proceed it would be a weight of my mind.
Thanks

I think that the late fee is €10 per month so €600 sounds high.

Also, it might not have been possible for you to register your tenant anyway in September 2023. The new registration collapsed on introduction and wasn't fixed until March 2024. Perhaps the late fees up to March 2024 are covered by the waiver.

Based on 2.5 years delay, I would think your maximum fees would be approximately 420. 30 months penalty at 10 euros a month and 40 euros registration fee for 2023/24/25.
