Late Licence - How Specific?

I am planning a party in a large city centre hotel on a saturday night. It has numerous function rooms. My booking is for one of the smaller ones - 50ppl.

We are being asked to pay 600e for late licence. We were surprised hotel didnt have one already.
Does the late licence apply to one specific event in the hotel? Or could we piggyback on late licence of a larger function in the hotel should one happen?

Thanks.

AFAIK, the exemption applies per night.

So if a premises applies to the court for an exemption for one night, they pay that fee.

Yeah it should really be split proportionate to party size...

or at the very least equally between all parties that benefit from it.

I'd expect the hotel will make good use of the license to keep it's own bar open later that night for example.
