Late fees, illegal in u.k, what about here?

Hi, A friend of mine in the north, told me about some advert that ran last year saying any banks or credit card companies that add "late fees" to you balance can be reported (she couldnt remember where to tho ) Does anyone know about this, and does this mean over the limit charges are also no longer chargeable?

A load of nonsence. Late fees and every other type of fee are chargeable in the UK and in ROI.
