Laptop warranty

Hi,

Looking at purchasing a HP/Compaq laptop from either laptops direct or dabs with an extended 3 year warranty. Anyone know if the warranty is valid in Irleand. Laptops/ Dabs say no, but HP website appear to say it is a world wide warranty. Any info appreciated

We bought a HP/Compaq CQ61 Laptop in PC World and got a 12 months warranty .

Great that we did'nt need to use it .

Its a brilliant Laptop - no trouble whatsoever. There should be no need to get the extended 3 yr warranty
 
All HP laptops should have a worldwide warranty.

The HP call centers are probably all in the same place anyway. In my experience, as long as your serial number has a 3yr warranty attached to it , they will help you.

Just be sure to register it with HP when you first get it as this saves a lot of trouble if you need to phone them.

Just as an extra note:

Make sure that it is a warranty from HP and not from DABS
