Any suggestions on good home landline phone packages for non business use. I have broadband installed (paid for by my employer) and use for online working from home.

Have been with Perlico for the last few years. Found them very good and cheap but have just changed to Talk Talk for one reason and one reason only, they offer FREE calls to UK and US landlines. Check callcosts.ie
 
Would avoid Perlico- no customer service! It 'won' an award that it bought- check their site and the link to the company that organises the awards for a massive fee- and to ensure success- Perlico even sponsored the awards show! Self praise is...???????? A friend asked the Waterford call centre to be transferred to Head office in Dublin- he waited 20 minutes on the phone and was told the lines were busy at HQ! (luckily for him, he had phoned HQ while waiting via his mobile and had no problem getting through!). He then pursued them via Small Claims Court and they had to refund all his rental/ phone charges for the 6 months previous. PM me and i can get you the details if you need the know-how

I'd recommend using this phone comparison tool from the callcosts.ie site. I used it for my mobile and broadband, its excellent. It will show you a comparison of all the different operators and recommend one for you based on the phone usage characteristics you enter. Will only take you 5 mins. [broken link removed]
