Just moved into new house where a new kitchen was very recently installed.
One of the kitchen cabinets is missing a handle, any idea how I could find out where to source one or where the kitchen was bought?
Have tried looking in Homebase / B&Q etc but no exact matches.....

Thanks

You could try Balmar out in Ballymount.

They have a large range of fittings.

If it's a new build, could you not ask the buildewr who installed the kitchens? Or have a look in the presses, as installers often leave a sticker with their name & number.

If you're in Dublin these people do quite a large selection of handles

Home Style DIY Ltd, 1 Mary st, Dublin 1, (01) 8735474

If they don't have the particular handle they might be able to tell you where to get it.

You could have a look on e-bay.

Try Edgewood Fittings (01 6262314). They are based in Cherryorchard in Dublin and they do all sorts of handles, hinges etc for kitchens.

I'd say find out who fitted the kitchen and go to them. They should be able to sort you out, or give you the name of their supplier.
If its second hand house, I'm sure the old owners would tell you who installed the kitchen for them.
Trade men rarely / never buy from retail shops so you'd be better off trying a few of the companies that supply the trade.

I am doing a makeover in the kitchen on a shoestring. My idea is to change the handles on good quality wood free standing furniture (some of it inherited). Then paint the doors only in white cabinet paint for a uniform look to match small number of white fitted kitchen units. I will have a look in Mary St on Sat morning and Ballymount also.

Are you generally welcome to go to a trade company if your just an ordinary jo(e)?

Balmar are now open on saturdays i was there a few weeks ago, maybe ring first to be sure though

they supply most of the retail outlets above and sell at trade prices, I would go with them as you will get brilliant prices

i saved over 40% of what i was quoted in home style
