Karcher K2.900M power washer

Hi all,

Thinking of buying the above Karcher power washer (PW) to clean coble-lock driveway and back patio area, total area about 500sq feet. The K2.900M is 1400W and rated to 100 bar. It comes with a T-racer patio cleaning attachment. Costs approx. EUR180.

Do you think this T-racer & PW would clean our coble-lock area, which incidentally has not been cleaned in many years. There is a good deal of surface dirt and grime on it. I don't mind spending a bit of time at it, if success is gauranteed !

I have used one of those T-racer attachments for cobblelock - to be honest I found it easier to do without it. Granted it does minimise the splash back but it doesn't get as good a finish. It tended to leave circular designs of dirt residue.

When you say "easier to do without it" do you mean you use the power wash itself but without the T-racer ?

If so, do you think this 100 bar model is sufficient to remove (eventually) fairly engrained dirt/grime ?
 
Power washer

Hello I have used all the makes of power washers..but the best I have found was one I hired from 'Muckley's in Midleton..had it for the whole weekend for about 20 euro..really powerful & even got my roof tiles done..(no Affiliation to Muckleys)

I mean use the power washer 'regular' attachment rather than using the T-racer. The one I used was also 100 bar and was more than sufficient.
 
I have the Karcher 3.99 with T racer and find it pretty good. It removes about 85% of the dirt film covering sandstone patio and granite drive. There always seems to be some stubborn spots here and there which it won't shift but generally I'm pretty happy.

I also find using the T racer attachment to be a far quicker job then just using the regular attachment, it covers a wider area in a shorter time (though I don't get those circular design of dirt residue) and gets rid of most of the dirt

Finally the 3.99M which is more powerful than the 2.900M is currently available on amazon for €144 (the 2.99M is on sale for €132) if you are comfortable buying from online retailers.

Great little machine
Did the concrete path around the house and it was great
didnt use the racer attachment the standard wand was great
