As above, my wife and I recently applied for a mortgage and our broker has said that any lender will required Form 11/Notice of Taxation in both our names (we are both self-employed directors of the same company). However this does not seem straightforward since we are jointly assessed: I am listed as the assessable person and my wife is named as my spouse on all documentation.
Will this require us to completely change our tax status, as I don't know how else we can get documentation in both names separately?
Would it be a standard request for mortgage lending these days as it's some time since we've had to borrow, and I did not expect that we'd be required to change things at such a level.
