Joint mortgage but registered in one name?

Hi just wondering if anyone has bought a house jointly but registered the house in one name? If so which lending institution did you use?
 
I have done this and its with AIB.. It doesnt matter if your married though..
 
found that lenders wil ldo this. some wil lhowever require some form of indemnity from the borrower who is not the owner. I understand that that is to protect lender if repossession looms and they do not want the other person staking a claim so to speak. TSB & Ulster do it.
