Joint assessment

Hi all, my wife and I became jointly assessed last year for the first time. In January of this year, she submitted her 2019 income tax return, she was due tax back for medical expenses back after the birth of our last child. She did this in the normal way, using her Revenue myaccount. The penny has just dropped with me, that this might be an issue, as I start preparing my 2019 return, where I'll owe revenue a small sum. Presumably we should have submitted a joint assessment. I have a few questions, 1) is that correct, or can each individual still submit their respective assessments via their myaccounts, which Revenue will take account of? 2) if it should have been a joint assessment, can either party use their myaccount to submit it ?, 3) if it should have been a joint assessment, does anyone know the procedure to correct the return my wife has already made?

Thanks!
