Joining PRTB

Dono if i'm in the right thread with this one,

If i'm receiveing social weldare from my tenants for their monthly rent do i have to join PRTB or is it just Law and another way of taking money from you that you have to join this PRTB. Thanks

1. It's a legal requirement (useless as it is)
2. If you want to claim mortgage interest relief you must be registered.
3. You don't get any of the landlords redresses unless you are registered, and getting problem tenants out might be harder.
